Volume N° VI - Spaces of Attention

The amount of good and beauty in our lives depends on our ability to notice them. It’s a practice, and it starts with attention.

This is why the theme of Volume VI is Spaces of Attention.

Some interiors reveal themselves over time. They are shaped not only by architecture, but by the objects, artworks and memories that gradually become part of everyday life. From Paris, Timișoara, Sydney, Amman and Calice Ligure, this issue brings together homes where architecture, art, design and memory exist in quiet dialogue. Here, art is never an afterthought—it is woven into everyday life. Objects become storytellers, restoration becomes an act of care, and craftsmanship shapes spaces with lasting character.

Alongside these remarkable interiors, the issue explores the worlds of Arte Veneziana, Fondazione Dries Van Noten and the dialogues discovered at Salone del Mobile.Milano, through essays, interviews and conversations that celebrate the cultural dimension of living.

Volume VI is an invitation to slow down, to look closely, and to rediscover the beauty of paying attention.

COVER STORY

Vol. N° VI

A HOUSE FOR ART

In western Paris, within a Belle Époque building of approximately one thousand square metres, architecture, design and art coexist in perfect balance. Signed by Valérie Rostaing, the project goes beyond the limits of a residential intervention and becomes a reflection on how domestic space can serve as a platform for a museum-scale art collection, without losing its intimacy and livability.

From the entrance onwards, the visitor understands that they are entering a space in which scenography plays a central role. One wall is dominated by Andy Warhol’s iconic Double Elvis, set against textured cedar panelling and pale paldao exotic wood. The choice is deliberate: the work’s rock energy introduces a dynamic note into a composition defined by noble materials and the elegance of an architecture steeped in history.
